Abstract EN

This research paper shows a content representation of the government policies to fight poverty in the Arab region, according to the theoretical frameworks which explain the reasons of poverty.

Since independence, the policies of Arab governments have ranged from two major policies.

The first policy concerns about the economic growth policies as a method to poverty reduction, while the second depends on the efficiency and fairness of income distribution policies.

The study also try to evaluate the Arab government's efforts to fight poverty according to modern concepts in development, Considering the huge material and human resources in the region, and the nature of the political, economic, social and cultural structures of Arab countries
