Algerian historians and researchers in the field of contemporary historical studies were interested in the period of the liberation revolution as a fundamental pillar of national history.

In view of what the Algerian women have done at the level of the basic structures of the revolution and in the context of writing local history and exploiting the opportunities of the remaining Mujahideen alive, I decided to highlight the Mujahida Maryam Mokhtari from Tiaret region and the circumstances and reasons for her joining the revolution with other Algerian women, despite their young age.

They resented their own youth and lives in order to raise the banner of freedom and independence.

She joined the revolution at the age of seventeen years old، and was the first to join the sixth region of the fifth state on 19 November 1956 with the children of the region.

Moreover, for example, not only bin Khattu Ali, Bouchareb Alnasser, Haloz Ahmed and others taught her guerrilla warfare and how to take up arms and use them.

In addition to working as a nurse in the medical team accompanied by Zubaydah Ould Kabilia and under the supervision of Dr.

Yousef Al-Damarji.

In November 1958, she moved to the seventh region of the fifth state after the death of Yusuf Damardji in 19 August 1958 in Tavrent region, and Zubaida in 1958 in Mascara.

She continued her struggle as a nurse in the 7th district until she was arrested on January 3, 1961.

So, many questions are to be asked as ; what are the reasons for Maryam Mokhtari's accession to the liberation revolution? And what kinds of missions were entrusted by the National Liberation Army? What happened to her during the period of the liberation revolution?
