Abstract EN

This research deals with the social aspects of the Zabid region in Tihama, Yemen, which is one of the most important Yemeni areas located on the Tihama plain overlooking the Red Sea, in a time period in which three states that were semi-independent of the Abbasid Caliphate were: And the State of Abyssinia (204-412 AH / 819-1020 AD), the state of Abyssinia BaniNajah (412-554 AH / 1020 - 1159 AD), and the state of Bani Mahdi (554 - 569 AH / 1159 - 1174 AD), during which the city of Zabid represented The capital of Yemen and the capital of Tihama all.

This period resulted in the impact of society on some of the customs and traditions it acquired as a result of the domination of these powers، Hence, this research talks about an important aspect of the practices and behavior of the society at the time and has been addressed in the research points as follows: 1- The general characteristics and characteristics of the community in the region.
