Abstract EN

The aims of this research are : 1- To measure social support among breast cancer patients.

2- To Investigat posttraumatic growth (PTG) among breast cancer patients.

3- To exam social support andthe relationship with the posttraumatic growth amongbreast cancer patients.

The scales of social support(Kurdi,2012) and Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(Tedeschi & Calhoun, 1996) translated by (Mahdi,2014) were adopted by the researchers), A purposelysample wereselected of (60) breast cancer patients at Educational Oncology Hospital in academic year 2013 to 2014.

Where data have analyzed by SPSS.

The results found … 1.

There was no significant existence of social support among breast cancer patients.

2.

There was a significant existence of posttraumatic growth (PTG) among breast cancer patients.

3.

The relationship was negative between social support and posttraumatic growth (PTG).

Results and recommendation for further research are discussed.
