The caves were considered as mysterious temples of the early man in Mesopotamia during that time.

The Early Man turned from the cave life to the house life, and he began to build the houses, The man transferred his ideological heritage to the house, so the communication between religion and life was continued, he confirmed on continuation the place of worship is in the same place of residence, Therefore, the structures or shrines of Home worship was clarified, and this was clearly illustrated during the Neolithic period, At the time, worship was accompanied with some doctrinal practices, and Mixed with the worship of skulls and bulls, and also with the worship of the mother goddess.

These acts of worship are almost the same as those in most of the ancient Near East countries during prehistoric times, the temples were separated from the dwellings gradually, and the temples of the gods appeared in many locations.

Each temple had its architectural and religious features.
