Abstract EN

The third and fourth generations of the Internet have brought with them unlimited technological services in the form of chats, text messages and multi-media sites carried through such outlets as the facebook, twitter, blogs, whatsApp, instagram and viber.

With this quick and ever-increasing services, the digital media, also known as the new media, have thus superseded the conventional one and have introduced a number of new concepts and terms, some of which have come from the constant use of technology, and some others have come from dealing with virtual users who belong to different culture and environment.

This is apart from the rapid changes that took place in the entire Arab world a result of the so-called "Arab Spring".

In short, today's man has become subject to these changes against his will and they become part of his social culture.

Present-day Arab society is living through a state of disintegration and division due to various ideological, cultural and historical factors.

As a consequence, Arab social and moral values have disappeared and are replaced by new values irrelevant to Arab and Islamic society.

The availability of these instruments has offered an ample opportunity for acquaintance at a distance usually undisciplined and unaccepted by the laws of society.

The present study is, therefore, an attempt to study the role of digital media in forming new moral and linguistic habits in the minds of users.

The survey sampling is design- based.

Its target population are social media websites users.

It aims at serving a twofold function: to check the role of concepts in forming new social culture and to understand the areas of interests and needs of the youth as a result of the changes that have kept them away from their religious values and made them live in a state of alienation from their Arab and Islamic reality.
