Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate the Fractional reserve banking system from an Islamic perspective, After presenting the mechanism of creating money through Fractional reserve banking system.

we have shed some light on The Defects of the Fractional reserve banking system in terms of Shariah, as were the most important principles of Shariah that were violated when creating money through the Fractional reserve system.

The study concluded that the Fractional reserve banking system is one of the most serious issues and it is one of the foundations of economic corruption in the land .The reason is that the world witnessed many economic crises and social misery, and the inequality in the distribution of income and wealth widened.

This makes creating of money through the Fractional reserve system prohibited from the Islamic Perspective.
