Investment is one of the most important factors in the process of the economic development of countries wishing to be prospered.

Thus, the settlement of disputes arising from the field of investment has an utmost importance because it contributes directly or indirectly to the development process.

It also works to reassure investors and capital-exporting countries on their investments.

Shall disputes occurred, they will be settled in a manner that do not cause any damages for those investors.

The standard convention of 1980 on Arab capitals investment of Arab countries created international means for the private Arab investor to resort to in settling disputes arising between him and the host country.

These means are represented by the Arab investment court, reconciliation and Arbitration as an attempt to find a legislative framework for the investment of Arab capitals which is also a major development in the legal system governing investments among Arab countries.
