Abstract EN

The current study aimed to reveal the availability of partnership patterns in special education programs according to Epstein Model of partnership during the implementation of ERTEQA Initiative; one of the national transformation initiatives 2020.

This study was based on a qualitative approach using a multiple case study, which is the most suitable approach for its objectives.

Three schools participated in the special education programs for girls in Madinah, where they were chosen in a deliberate manner.

The data were collected using the semi-structured interview method and document analysis.

The results of the study showed that although there are positive attitudes in schools toward the importance of the participation of family of students with disabilities, there is a misunderstanding about how the partnership should be implemented.

The implementation of ERTEQA initiative arbitrarily does not contribute to achieve the target goals; which is improvement of students' academic achievement.

The results of the study also indicate some of the threats facing the implementation of the initiative, and there are opportunities to implement the initiative successfully if need to be considered when designing the schools strategic and operational plans of special education programs.
