Abstract EN

Traffic accidents are among the most important concerns and challenges of the modern age because of the material and human losses that the phenomenon entails.

Their effects may extend to the long term when the injury threatens the psychological balance of the owner, especially if the individual is in the best stage of adolescence where the psychological energy is invested at the level of the body sacrificed.

Its appearance, and even more so it is the focus of concern as well as fear of deformity of the body.

The severity of the disability is evident in troubled social relationships, where the disabled adolescent develops non-adaptive strategies that are routinely defined as turbulent behaviors in the face of stressful situations, making it difficult for him to achieve adaptation and harmony with himself and his society.

Therefore, this study aims to uncover the nature of the coping strategies used by the disabled adolescent as a result of a traffic accident to cope with the stressful situations.

This is done by relying on the clinical approach to monitor the phenomenon in practice and applying the personal data card prepared by the researchers and the resistance strategies prepared by Andler And Parker (1988) on a research group of (07) disabled adolescents, and after reading the data, we noted the intersection points in terms of employment of the group members of the non-adaptive strategies, which are the strategies based on emotion in order to manage the resulting pressures N disability during their social relationships.

This result was interpreted in light of the legacy of the psychological heritage and previous studies on the subject, and followed the study with a general conclusion with a set of recommendations.
