Modern states ensure their internal and external security and protect their borders from any kind of violation, which commits the idea of sovereignty as one of the pillars of their institutions as well as internal and external reflection, called the solid borders of the state.

However, the rapid developments have produced many challenges and different actions that have undermined the idea of solid borders through Breakthroughs of state sovereignty, thus marking a new phase known as the soft or fragile frontier, which reflect the new world and its current requirements.
