Myth is a sacred story that recounts the events of gods, their qualities, all that is associated with them and their worshippers.

Some myths tell the history of these people, and they even mythologize historical events and historical figures.

Thus, they distort history.

But this is not its aim at all.

Myths have many other aims like informing, explaining, and uncovering things.

The aim of this paper is to show the functions of myth and its relation to history.
