Abstract EN

The study deals with Ajloun's historical and geographical sources at Ibn Katheer and Al-Maqrizi.

The importance of the study lies in the statement of the historical of Ajloun, which is of interest to the commander Salah Adin al-Ayubbha when he ordered his famous leader Ezzedine Osama to build of Ajloun fortress.

The study aims to identify the administrative and strategic importance that was occupied by Ajloun when it was one of the main states of the Levant, and one of the most important states of Damascus, as well as its natural wealth.

It became an important center of the Ayyubid and Mamluk princes.

To achieve this goal the researcher followed the historical and analytical approaches, and the study reached many of the results indicated in the conclusion of the research.
