Abstract EN

Travel literature is one of the richest literary genres, attracting the attention of researchers from different disciplines such as geography,sociology and history ;the latter is considered one of the disciplines closest to travel, especially since the travels themselves are part of its many aspects because they reflect the history of the author and the period he lived .

We therefore dicided to focus our attention her on the presence of history in the travels in general and in that of Ibn Hamadouch Al jazaïri in particular ; especialy if we learn that this is a journey that belongs to an important historical period of Algeria long ignored by the historical sources themselves.

We proceeded to define the traveler, we also highlighted the methodology adopted in its drafting, and talk about the relationship of history with travel and its presence in this genre of literature.
