Abstract EN

The actual article highlights the actions of propaganda used by the Axis’s Powers, mainly Germany, during World War II towards the region of North Africa being an important strategic area as well as being a part of both the colonial French and British Empires.

We tried to clarify the assisting factors to the propaganda actions ,focusing on the colonial policy used in the region in different fields.

In addition to the way in which the Allies dealt with the Axis’s arrogant propaganda and how the existence of an Axis’s community in the Allies countries helped too much in doing so.

Also, we attempted to clarify the desired goals of this propaganda which were just a trial to recruit the region to be a support for the Allies against the Axis in the war.

The propaganda targeted many groups including: the local inhabitants ,European imprisoners, recruits, National Movements leaders, and important personalities.

And it used different means such as : propaganda services and offices ,important personalities, spies, agents ,imprisoners and the different mass media.

At the end ,we tried to clarify the aftermaths and impacts of this propaganda, some of which were dangerous, on the region including :establishing paramilitary organizations by some North Africans, joining the Alliance’s army, as well as causing splits in the National Movements.

And we concluded to some results mentioned in the article’s conclusion.
