Arabic Abstract
الهدف الأساسي من هذه الدراسة هو استكشاف استراتيجيات قلة التهذيب المستخدمة من قبل الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب على منصة تويتر تسلط الدراسة الضوء على ظاهرتي التهذيب و قلة التهذيب في ظل التواصل عبر الحاسوب و السياسة تبوأ تواصل الأفراد و الظواهر اللغوية مكانا في العالم الإفتراضي من خلال المنصات الإجتماعية عامة و منصة تويتر خاصة.
إذ يستخدم السياسيون منصة تويتر أداة للهجوم اللغوي على خصومهم من خلال استخدامهم لاستراتيجيات قليلة التهذيب.
تتبنى هذه الدراسة نظرية التهذيب اللغوي الخاصة ببروان و ليفنسون (1987) لتكون المرجع الرئيس لفهم و شرح طرق مهاجمة الشخص المخاطب.
كما و تتبنى إطار كولبيبر (1996) في قلة التهذيب من أجل تصنيف الإستراتيجيات المستخدمة في قلة التهذيب اللغوي و شرحها المعطيات المطلوبة للتحليل هي على شكل تغريدات و تتضمن سبعة و ثلاثين تغريدة تعود السبع و الثلاثون تغريدة التي هي صلب هذه الدراسة الى ثلاث مراحل في حياة ترامب السياسة بحيث قام بتكتابتها قبل توليه الرئاسة و خلال الحملة الانتخابية و بعد تولي الرئاسة.
و استهدفت هذه التغريدات شريحة مختلفة من الناس من ضمنهم، سياسيين، ممثلين و رياضيين صحفيين و كتاب، و مؤسسات مثل أقسام حكومية قنوات اخبارية، و صحف أظهرت الدراسة بأن ترامب استخدم كما هائلا من العبارات السلبية، بما في ذلك دلالات احتقارية جارحة سلاحا لتدمير كيان الشخص المخاطب و يعكس اختيار ترامب لكلماته عددا من صفاته السلبية كالعنصرية.
كما و أظهرت ان اسلوبه في التواصل لم يتغير حتى بعد توليه رئاسة البلاد.
English Abstract
Exploring the strategies of impoliteness used by the American president Donald Trump on Twitter is the main objective of the present study.
The present study sheds the light on the linguistic phenomena of politeness and impoliteness in the shadow of computermediated communication and politics.
Communication along with linguistic phenomena moved on to take place in the virtual world through social platforms, Twitter in particular.
Political figures use Twitter as an instrument to destroy the face of their rivals through employing linguistic impoliteness.
The present study has adopted B&L’s (1987) model of politeness to be the main reference of understanding and explaining the facethreatening acts (henceforth FTA) that target the addressee’s face.
It has also adopted Culpeper’s (1996) framework to classify impoliteness strategies.
The data were in the form of Trump’s tweets.
The forty tweets, which represent the study material, belong to different stages of Trump's political career; they were tweeted before, during, and after Trump’s presidential campaign and they targeted different kinds of people including (politicians, actors, athletes, journalists and writers) and organizations such as (governmental sections, news channels, newspapers) The results showed that Trump used mass amount of negative expressions that include offensive terms and derogatory remarks as a destructive weapon of others’ self-images.
His negative characteristics (racism for example) were reflected by his choice of words.
They also showed that he didn’t change his impolite way of communication even after he became president.
