Abstract EN
This study aimed to identify academic competence and behavior of pupils with Cochlear Implants and profoundly hearing-impaired in general education schools in Riyadh using the descriptive analytical approach.
The researcher used a tool of 21 sentences divided into two categories: academic competence and academic behavior.
The tool was applied on all integration programs in Riyadh, (13) programs for males and (7) for females.
(850) copies of the study tool were distributed, (362) were recovered which can be statically analyzed.
The following findings are shown for the study: 1- The level of students subjected to the study has shown a high increase in academic competence, as the average of the sample scored 3.60/5.00.
2- The level of students subjected to this study in academic behavior is high, where the average of the teacher’s average who applied academic behavior standards on the sample was 3.70/5.00.
3- There are significant statistical differences at indication level of (0.05) in academic competence and academic behavior in the average scores, for both, pupils with Cochlear Implants and Hearing Aids for the sample members.
The researcher did not find significant statistical differences at indication level of (0.05) in academic behavior and competence in the average scores of listeners and pupils with Cochlear Implants.
