Most cities, especially in developing countries, are witnessing an increase in the quantity of solid waste to be treated and disposed of in safe, healthy and affordable ways.

The continuous accumulation of solid waste (household, industrial, agricultural, Construction, construction, streets, hospitals, etc.) are chaotic and have many harmful and dangerous effects.

They may also become an economic resource if they are recycled and reused to benefit from materials (plastic, paper, glass) For recycling and use.

The city of Qassim is among the most prominent Iraqi cities that have suffered from the accumulation of solid waste, and emerged more effectively as a result of the financial crisis experienced by Iraq, which prevented the existence of financial allocations, resulting in a clear failure of the work of the city of Qassim in the management of solid waste and final disposal in the sites Landfill.

In this context, the study came to address the solid waste in the city of Qassim and its environmental effects.

The study supported descriptive descriptive analysis based on data analysis and how to deal with it using the questionnaire to study the variables that affect the research problem and evaluate the efficiency of the environmental service.

The study concluded with a set of conclusions and recommendations regarding finding the facts and finding appropriate solutions.
