Abstract EN

This article investigates the alleged violations and restriction on the freedom of dress that the Muslim government might have imposed on the Dhimmi people in Andalus.

Onlyit After having studied many historical texts as well as fatwasof FiqhAnnawazil, it has turned out that The Muslim administration ,in general, did never impose any kind of dress code on Dhimmi people and that their freedom of dress was guaranteed.

While that Events where Dhimmi people were obliged to adopt a specific dress code are extremely rare.

They were a result of very unique and very special conditions.
