Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the reality of using the active learning strategies by the Faculty of Education graduates at Ibb University, in practical syllabus in public schools, and to figure out the difficulties that prevent using them in the teaching process from their perspectives and that of the supervisors.

The study sample consists of 149 graduates and 25 supervisors.

The study employs the descriptive survey approach to design questionnaires, including 41 items distributed over 3 fields, viz.

electronic learning, class management and teaching strategies.

The second axis is a questionnaire about the difficulties of applying these strategies, consisting of 54 items distributed over 4 fields, viz.

teacher, educational environment, syllabus and students.

After checking their validity and reliability, the study results show that the degree of the graduates’ application of active learning strategies is moderate in both electronic learning and teaching strategies, and high in class management.

It also shows that there are no statistical differences at the level 0.05 in using active learning strategies related to the gender variable.

There is a statistical difference in specialization variable for the scientific departments.

There are also difficulties that prevent the graduates from using active learning strategies, viz.

education environment, syllabus and student.

There are statistical differences at the level 0.05 between male and social science graduates.

The study concludes with some important recommendations.
