Abstract EN

This research studies one of the important commentaries written by Ahmed Baba Altunbukti about the “mysterious” sentences in the book “Almukhtasar,” the author of which is Khalil bin Ishaq.

The researcher first introduces the authors of both the book and commentary.

He then introduces the book, as one of the Maliki books, its topic and importance among other related aspects.

The researcher then investigates the text (of the book) which contains five issues on dowry (or „sidaq' in Arabic) including: dowry‟s insurance, blemish, rightness, all- or some-faultfinding.

The research concludes with the author‟s scholarly rank in writing the jurisprudential commentary.

And why he regards dowry as selling, specifically in its insurance, blemish, rightness, all- or some-faultfinding, is only in the case of true marriage.
