Abstract EN

This study aims to clarify the purposes of establishing family in Islamic Sharia to highlight the advantages of Islam and how the family system in Islam should be perceived.

The researchers employ the inductive approach through eliciting the opinions of scholars, linguists and jurists on the purposes of establishing the family in Sharia.

They also make use of the analytical approach to analyze, specifically, family classification and arrangement in the context of these purposes.

The research concludes that the aim of establishing family in Islam is to preserve the necessary principles of Islam, fulfil the core of Islam as to worship Allah, the Almighty, and raise children to obey Him.

It is also through enjoying tranquility atmosphere among the family members and strengthening relationship between the members of society, and purifying individuals of the Muslim society through marriage
