Nowadays, communication and its different means are very important.

It has been witnessing huge developments along with its different resources: readable, audio and visual.

Verbal language per se may not deliver the knowledge properly, but rather it needs visual communication.

The latter can deliver the feelings and emotions, enriching this knowledge and making it more meaningful.

Nonverbal signs are important in human communication and in affecting the others more.

This makes communicationists, communists and educationists pay much attention to this topic.

In the same line, we find that the Holly Qur’an, as a book of da’wah, preaching and legislation has used different means to convince humans, preventing them from doing bad things.

One of these means is the nonverbal signs used in the Holly Qur’an, having various significances.

Consider, for example, the following two Ayaat: 1.“At length she brought him (baby) to her people, carrying him (in her arms).

They said: “O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste” (Mary, 27-29) 2.“ He said: my Lord! appoint unto me a sign.

Allah said: thy sign is that thou shalt not speak unto mankind for three days save by beckoning; and remember thy Lord much and hallow Him in the evening and morning” (Al Emran, 41).

The use of sign in the first Ayah and the symbol in the second one represents a call for using nonverbal signs and gestures to enrich our communication with others.

This also indicates that even the Holly Qur’an uses nonverbal signs as a device for convincing people.

This is so clear that the Holly Qur’an is full of such uses, covering a wide range of universe phenomena.

The researcher comes up with some results the important of which are: 1.

Analyzing the basic types of moto-behaviors and their relation to verbal-behaviors in producing the significance of the written text, like the Qur’an text under investigation and their strong effects in producing the visual significance.

The moto-behaviors play an important role in producing meaning indirectly, which suits the artistic and aesthetic nature of the written texts, giving some consequences to moto-behavior theory in particular and communication theory in general.
