Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the role of the effectiveness of computerized management information systems to achieve security of electronic information; whereas the study used credibility as a modified variable and information technology as a mediator variable.

The study model was built and its variables and hypotheses were identified based on the literature review; while the study measurements were developed depending on previous studies through designing a questionnaire for data collection.

The study sample consisted of (283) using a stratified random sample.

The most important results of the study indicated that the increase in the level of effectiveness of computerized management information systems will lead to an increase in the level of security of electronic information between the staff of the Palestinian universities in the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, an increase in the level of information technology in Palestinian universities in the Gaza Strip by one degree will lead to an increase in the level of security of electronic information by (0.773); especially in the light of absence of the effect of other variables.
