Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying obstacles that facing investors in Gaza strip to prepare the economic feasibility studies, and how these obstacles affect the success of investment projects.

To achieve the objective of the study a number of hypotheses had been formulated and tested.

The research community consisted of 35 modern projects, and due to the small size of the community; questionnaires were distributed to all community members; whereas 30 questionnaires were retrieved representing 86% of the total sample.

The data were analyzed using SPSS program.

The most important study findings showed that the amount of available information related to the preparation of the economic feasibility studies have a significant impact on the success of investment project.

Moreover, a number of difficulties were facing investors regarding conducting the cost-benefit analysis for their projects due to the economic and political instability in Gaza strip.

The study main recommendations include the call for official authorities (specifically Statistical Central Authority in Palestine) to provide the necessary information and data related to investment projects.

Furthermore, provision of employees training in economic feasibility studies centers in order to reduce the difficulties associated with determining cost and benefits.
