Abstract EN

The study examined the determinants of the returns of the animal wealth sector in Kassala State during the period 1999 -2012.

The study used the statistical descriptive, and econometric methods.

The study findings indicated the existence of a positive relationship between the numbers of the animal wealth, the government expenditure on the animal wealth sector, and the economic return of the animal wealth sector.

In addition, the existence of an inverse relationship between the herds taxes and the economic return of the animal wealth sector.

The study calls for increasing government expenditure, which is directed to the animal wealth sector; besides reduction of herd taxes; as well as paying more attention to the animal wealth both qualitatively and quantitatively .
