Package holidays have become very popular in UAE, which has become one of the most famous tourism destinations in the world.

Unlike the most developed countries in tourism industry, UAE’s did not provide specific provisions to govern package holiday contracts leaving it to the general provisions of law applied in the UAE.

This situation subjected the package holiday contracts to the provisions of other laws which would be applied to individual parts of the contract compromising the unique nature of the package holiday contract and the principles of consumer protection.

This research will study and analyze the extent to which the tourists under the package holiday are protected under the existing UAE laws.

The first section analyzes the unique nature of the package holiday contracts and examines the relationship between touring agents and tourists under this contract.

The second section focuses on the protection of tourists before and during the conclusion of the package holiday contracts in addition to identifying the organs which deal with tourists’ complaints.
