Abstract EN

This paper aims to study the adequacy of incentives and guarantees for direct foreign investment in the United Arab Emirates, by studying the investment climate in the United Arab Emirates and comparing the provided incentives and legislative guarantees to direct foreign investment with their counterparts in investment legislation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The study is divided into three sections: the first section addresses the evolution and scope of direct foreign investment in the United Arab Emirates; the second section deals with the incentives for foreign direct investment in the United Arab Emirates; and the third section draws on the guarantees for direct foreign investment in the United Arab Emirates.

Finally, the conclusion contains the most important results and some recommendations.
