Abstract EN

The study dealt with the current situation of Radio and Television Arts department and its urgent need to update the teaching syllabus of TV pictures and lighting in accordance with the technical developments of TV pictures production tools, especially "High Definition Digital Camera" with all its components of setting tools and digital picture recording media.

The research concluded with designing a suggested model of updating the teaching syllabus of TV pictures and lighting in accordance with the technical developments.

The general description of the syllabus included the most important modern developments in the field of pictures and lighting, and their distribution on four teaching terms, 36 hours per term, 12 hours theoretical and 24 hours practical.

This model was designed so that the outcomes of the teaching syllabus would achieve the targeted learning goals of knowledge, comprehension, mental and professional skills, and general and transferred skills that the student acquires during his/her study of the syllabus of TV pictures and lighting according to the new description that conforms with the recent technical developments in the field of digital cameras and their components
