The research monitors and analyzes the use of social media students in the universities of Misurata and Benghazi for social networking sites in order to determine the levels of use and its relationship to the participation of students in the contents published through it, through a survey questionnaire applied to a sample of quotas from the two colleges amounted to (200) students and distributed according to the actual proportions of each The research specialized and concluded that the rates of use of social networks came at the intermediate level.

The results also showed the progress of the Facebook site on the rest of the social networking sites in terms of use and this came for ease of use and for the services it provides and the lack of controls that limit use and it was clear from the results that students from the sample members do not engage in activities other than study, as the research concluded that the motives for use The students among the members of the sample came close, the most important of which was the freedom to express an opinion, as the desire to communicate with colleagues and teachers was an important motivation for using social media, while the motivation to know the regulations and legislation and registration mechanisms came at the end of the list, which means not investing Students of these networks is the most comprehensive but selective and specific
