This research aims to clarify the development of the agricultural development policies adopted and their impact on the performance of the agricultural sector in Algeria.
In order to achieve the objectives of this research, the descriptive and analytical methods were used to describe and analyze the agricultural policies adopted within the various investment programs implemented and analysis of performance indicators of the agriculture sector.
The results of this research showed the failure of the general policy of expansionist investment applied by Algeria in the agricultural sector and its inability to improve the performance indicators of the agriculture sector and the revitalization of the local production apparatus outside the hydrocarbons sector.
Consequently, the economy remains dependent on the specter of the rural and single sector economy
