Abstract EN

In this paper, we try to test the relationship between the rate of inflation and (unemployment rate, the general level of prices) during the period from 1972 to 2010 in Algeria n this study, we relied on the Johaxen- Gossilas test Integration and (Granger Causality Test( for Causation , n theory, we have shed light on the concepts of the variables studied, Either applied and depending on the program Eviews We found that there is a balanced relationship between the rate of inflation and the unemployment rate in the short term and there is no similar behavior between the two variables in the long term As for causation, there is no effect between the two variables of the two directions, The long-term equilibrium relationship between the inflation rate and the general level of prices, we found that there is a common integration between the two variables in the long term, The causal relationship is of one direction only, that is, the rate of inflation affects the general level of prices, but the general level of prices does not affect the rate of inflation.
