Abstract EN

The objective of this study was to identify the effect of physical and sports activities Adaptive on the level of self-esteem of the handicappes.

The descriptive approach was used.

The sample of the study was 46 handicapped persons, divided equally into 23 physical activity Adaptive athletes and 23 non-practicing in students enrolled in Ain Al-Baidha.

Center ,We used to measure the level of self-esteem, a measure of 39 terms that dealt with both the physical and general appearance, the family self, the personal self and the self-confidence, the social and recreational self.

- The study found that there was a lack of self-esteem and overall appearance between the two groups.

- Differences in family self-esteem, self-esteem, and self-confidence were also found.

-The level of self-esteem was higher in the sample of physical activity Adaptive.
