Abstract EN

The aim of this article is to identify the development of the unemployment size and rates in the Gaza Strip, to indicate their spatial differences, the most important demographic, and social and economic characteristics.

The results indicate the high rate of unemployment in the Gaza Strip during the period of the Palestinian Authority as a result of occupation policies.

Unemployment rises in Khan Younis govemorate and decreases in Gaza govemorate.

Most of the unemployment is concentrated in the younger age groups under the age of 35, university levels & above, as most of the unemployed have never been able to work permanently, with an increased the Long term unemployment Rate.
