The issue of extremism is one of the most important issues of concern to the public opinion because of Egypt's two consecutive revolutions affecting the course of Arab and international events.

Therefore, the present research is concerned with studying the role of civil society institutions in strengthening the values of belonging to counter extremist thinking, especially among young people and adolescents who are easy to attract and change their ideas The current research has focused on highlighting the role of civil society institutions in promoting the values of belonging to the face of extremist ideology that young people fear.

And to reveal the main roles played by these institutions to protect and strengthen the values of belonging and to identify the most important services and activities and programs that provide to counter the deviant thought.

In order to achieve this, it was possible to use the social survey method in the sample sample, 300 research was applied.

The questionnaire was used as a main tool in the study.

It consisted of 65 questions for the opinion of employees in civil society institutions by strengthening the values of belonging and citizenship to counter radical ideology.

The study found several important results: The results of the study on activities concluded that the great majority of employees agree to encourage and hold cultural seminars among young people to express themselves by 58.3%.

While the lowest percentage declined by 11.6%.

It also concluded that the challenges and problems faced by institutions in strengthening the values of belonging are 68.6% physical, while the minority reject by 8.3%, as well as political challenges by 51.3%.

The results of the conclusion regarding the future vision to strengthen the values of belonging among young people concluded that the vast majority of employees (73.3%) agree that there is diversity in the activities of the institution in order to strengthen the values of belonging, while the lowest percentage is 6.6%, which confirms their true role to counter extremism Possibilities.
