Abstract EN

The study aimed at exploring the level of prevalence of Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndrome and relationship to the emotional stability among Yarmouk University Students.

To achieve the objectives of the study, two measures were developed to measure Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndrome and emotional stability.

The study sample consisted of (809) students from Yarmouk University, (299) males and (510) females.

It was divided in light of students' responses to Phantom Vibration and Phantom Ringing Syndrome into three groups (high, medium, low).

The prevalence of the medium Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndrome ranked first with a percentage of (64.77%).

The prevalence of the high Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndrome ranked second with a percentage of (18.29%).

The prevalence of the low Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndrome ranked third with a percentage of (16.93).

The results indicated that the level of emotional stability was within the high level.

There was also a negative correlation between Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndrome and Emotional Stability.

The results indicated that there was no statistically significant difference between the correlation coefficients of Phantom Vibration and Ringing Syndromes with emotional stability among Yarmouk University students attributed to (gender, college, type of phone used, how long the phone used, college year, academic achievement, the daily amount of time spent in using the phone.
