Abstract EN

These challenges helped the emergence of a new branch of crime known as economic crimes.

Thus, what is the concept of economic crime in the Jordanian law? The contrast appears very clear with regard to the concept of economic crime in the Jordanian law due to the lack of clear standards in the legislation, judiciary, and legal scholar’s writings.

Although, every effort has been made to reach an accurate definition to the concept of the economic crime has failed to identify it in specific and detailed way.

The reason behind the difficulty of defining the concept of economic crime is the multiplicity of its forms, its goals, and its effects.

On the one hand, when we review the concepts that dealt with economic crime, we found that the concept defined in a general way without trying to determine the content of the concept, these concepts defined the economic crime without taking in consideration that such concept is close to other concepts that listed in the other branches of the Jordanian criminal law.

On the other hand, some defined the concept of economic crime in a loose and overlapping manner; this led us to analyze the concepts to reach an inclusive concept to the economic crime.
