Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying die level of integrating mental skills in die training unit among the Jordanian coaches and their attitudes towards it.

Also, die study aimed at identifying die level of integration according to the training experience and die kind of sport (individual, collective).

The sample of study consisted of (38) coaches of different grades who participated in the courses of die National Program for preparing die Jordanian coaches during die period from 30/4 to 8/11/2016 and they were selected according to die deliberate method.

To achieve the objectives of die study, die researcher set up a tool for diis purpose.

The results showed that die Jordanian coaches have strong positive attitudes toward die mental skills.

At die same time, the results showed a small percentage of die Jordanian coaches who listed die training of mental skills in dieir annual plan.

Further, die results indicated diat die level of integrating the mental skills in die training units is very low since all die mental skills were found at a very low level, except for die skill of visualization, which came at a low level.

The researcher recommended diat Jordanian coaches should activate die training of mental skills and use die current study tool to assess die level of integration of these skills in dieir training.
