Abstract EN

In view of the importance of the issue of changes in oil prices and their repercussions on the economies of countries, whether produced or consumed, this paper has identified the developments in the oil prices during the period (2004 - 2015) and determine the main causes, and then the implications of the decline in oil prices starting in 2014 on the economy The Algerian .

We concluded that the period of the study witnessed two oil price increases and two cycles of decline, each of which had many complex and complex factors and causes.

We also found that the current low oil prices have severe effects on the internal and external balances of the Algerian economy.
