We will focus in this stud)/ on linguistic philosophy for the American linguist Noam Chomsky, who had an interest in language in both the hidden and apparent sides through performance and understanding beyond the language proficiency hidden at the level of the mind, his theory is purely a mental theory that its main interest is mental truth that is translated by language performance, because language, in his view, consists of a limited range of sounds, however, it produces an unlimited number of sentences, and thus Chomsky says the biology of linguistic mechanism which means the linguistic system source for humans exists on the human brain level, and thus as long as humans share this brain, he sees that we could construct a linguistic global theory named as the Universal Grammar Theory.

So, what is the linguistic philosophy which Chomsky started from and how did he build his linguistic theory or what is known as the generative transformational theory that revolves in the orbit of what is known as Universal Grammar?
