Our paper aims at trying to present and to analyze the experience of the restoration of the old mosque El-Atik which is in the historic center of the city of Laghouat, beginner by the presentation of the legal frame of the Algerian legislation concerning the protection of the heritage, to arrive at the practice of the restoration where we had the opportunity to follow and oversee the project of restoration of the mosque El-Atik as project manager, through this experience, we are going to evoke the difficulties met in this practice, ending with the proposal of the recommendations which can help the parties concerned of the domain of the preservation of the heritage.

Notre article a pour but d’essayer de présenter et d’analyser l’expérience de la restauration de la vieille mosquée El-Atik qui se trouve dans le centre historique de la ville de Laghouat, commençant par la présentation du cadre légal de la législation algérienne relatif à la protection du patrimoine, pour arriver à la pratique de la restauration où nous avions l’occasion de suivre et superviser le projet de restauration de la mosquée El-Atik en tant que chef de projet, à travers cette expérience, nous allons évoquer les difficultés rencontrées dans cette pratique, terminant par la proposition des recommandations qui peuvent aider les intéressés du domaine de la conservation du patrimoine
