Abstract EN

Moulay Belhamisi is considered as a pioneer of the Algerian Historical School.

He is well-known through his several historical writings about the history of Algeria in the modern era.

He has scientific and academic contributions about the Ottoman presence in Algeria, that allowed him to employ his scientific and academic expertise in reviving the local history of Mazouna and the area of Dahra.

Thus, his book titled the “History of Mazouna” issued by the National institution for publication and distribution in 1981 was his first production.

Accordingly, this study aims at revealing the book content to show his touch in the writing of the local history.
