Abstract EN

This research is a deriving reading of my understanding of the words of Al-Tabari on the aspects of interpretation “Tafsir” which he wrote in the introduction to his interpretation “Jami’ Al-Bayan” book, after a lengthy contemplation and scrutiny and consideration of the concept of a new presentation, distributed on inquiries and demands, make them closer to the researchers and the scholars.

The importance of this research comes from the position of “Jami’ Al-Bayan”, which is the reference of the interpreters with their different approaches, and from his statement to an integrated approach to dealing with the verses of “The Holy Quran” in the reasonable and transferable ways, makes Al-Tabari a pioneer in “interpretation by opinion “Tafsir bi-al-ra'y/ bi-al-diraya”, as he is a pioneer in “interpretation by phrases or Tafsir bi-al-ma'thur/ bi-alriwaya”, in an approach that combines the two ways, which was the backbone for the interpreters who came after him, as well as the importance of reference to the Al-Tabari as an authentic source in uncovering the correct method of interpretation of “The Holy Quran”.
