Abstract EN

The study aimed to categorize the students with learning disabilities in Elementary school, using the Ravens Standard Progressive Matrices test (SPM).

The study followed the descriptive method and Randomized method of sample selection.

The community of the study consisted of all primary stage pupils of learning difficulties in the elementary public schools in Asir and Najran region, while the samples of the study were consisting of (720) pupils from Asir and Najran region.

The results of this analysis revealed that the students having learning disabilities have (93.80) IQ average.

Students were categorizaed into four groups: into talented group of Gifted with learning disabilities 4 pupils by 0.6 % at IQ = 121.67.

learning difficulties group who were 644 pupils by 89.4 % at IQ = 95.1.

Slow learning group who were 69 pupils by 9.6 % at IQ = 80.23.

The mentally retarded group who were 3 pupils by 0.4 % at IQ = 65.

The most study's prominent recommendation is the dire need to use the standard progressive matrices in the diagnosis process of pupils of learning difficulties.
