Abstract EN

This research deals with the personality of Majd Ad-deen Al-fairooz Abaadi (729-817HJ/1328-1414AD), the chief judge of Yemen, the well-known outstanding linguist, the chief lexicalist of his own time, starting with acquiring personal and intellectual career in his native place and what he enjoys of personal talents, his teacher-ideals, his surnames, walking through his civilized roles, the manifestations of such roles and how people got influenced by his scientific character.

The research also reads the major tenets of his writings, one and the most notable of which is his Al-Qamoos Al-Muheet (the Entire Dictionary), attempting for elicitation, the aim of which is documenting his role in relating to time and place.

It then tries to put such roles in their historical context, according to an analytic approach based on objectivity of tracing such texts and appealing to their sources with what the research aims at.

In addition to that, there arises his complementarity of thought with Yemen Sultans, and how it was reflected in feeding the intellectual and civilized prosperity, and how it led to scientific competitions and intellectual argumentations.

The researcher also addresses Abaadi’s political and social roles, and the centrality of Mecca in crystalizing his roles in Yemen, dealing with the manifestations of his direct and indirect relations with Yemeni intellectuals.

The research has come up with some findings, hoping of achieving some of the objectives set forth by the researcher, making use of some references which motivate such objectives.
