Abstract EN

The territory of the Levant in the Islamic era received much care and attention of many historians and geographers who were fascinated by the beauty of the nature, pure air, fertile soil, and the abundance of water and rivers, among other blessings this land enjoys.

Consequently, they started describing it and writing everything they heard and saw clearly.

However, the most notable is what was brought to us by the Muslim travellers who visited this land.

They depicted everything representing the marvelous beauty this land enjoys.

Their writings represented rich scientific materials no researcher can dispense with, when studying the history of the Levant specifically if such materials have been brought by traveller, witnesses, which is one of the features that may not be found in some other writings, that depended only on books and other references.

This is so because the latter could have some misleading information as being bias, right or not, or even exaggerated.
