Abstract EN

This paper is about the dialogue being a problem in Arabic novelistic writing.

It deals with the dialogue as a technical tool especially in its capability to be convincing to the reader.

To be convincing is very difficult to reach in their writings or even in whatever things is dialogue.

Because so much opinions and ideas have been said about the kinds of words by which the dialogue written being classical, standerd or spoken, language of dialogue becomes one of the topics of the paper, but of course not the only one.

According to this, the topics of the papers are: the language of dialogue apart from it being classical, slang or spoken; the connection between it and the characters who say it; the efforts and attempts of the writers to escape from the problem; and the functions of the dialogue in the novel.
