Despite the provisions of international humanitarian law to prohibit the participation of children in hostilities, on many occasions this prohibition is violated and these children are put into war in flagrant violation of the principle of humanity and the rules of international humanitarian law.

Faced with this bitter reality in which innocent people are routinely involved in hostilities, it is commonplace for them to be taken into captivity.

The problem of children in captivity has become one of the chronic problems that are almost without war, without leaving them behind.

Article 13 of the Third Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Prisoners of War, 1949, contains a number of general principles relating to the protection of prisoners of war in general, from which the protection of children participating in hostilities is placed in captivity.

These principles protect the person and dignity of the child who is not to be killed intentionally or to issue an order not to keep alive against him and not to torture him physically or morally, as well as the prohibition of all crimes against honor and rape, and the second group is related to non-activation To the captive child in the war effort with the identification of types of licensed work carried out and other acts not authorized to carry out, with the enactment of a set of personal and organizational conditions governing the work of child prisoners.
