In general, the judiciary at the national and international levels is considered to be one of the sources of law.

At the international level, however, and because of the lack of legislative authority along the lines of national regulations, the international judiciary represented in the International Court of Justice plays a very important role in the development of the rules of International law,the absence of legislative authority at the international level gives the international Court of Justice a leading role in the development of the norms of international law.

This role of the International Court of Justice in developing the rules of international law is what we will show through this article.
