Medical waste is one of the most dangerous hazards to human health and our environment, and may lead to severe consequences.

Thus, it became one of the most relevant topics, attracting the attention of numerous experts and different stakeholders in several fields, most importantly the health and environment sectors, around the world.

Our investigation aims to study the nature of medical waste, beginning with its definition, then its effects on humans and the environment and finally its treatment.
